Sugar Nellie Colour Theme Challenge...

Morning Girls

Time for another challenge at The Sugar Bowl....  and this time we have a colour theme to follow..  which took me straight into difficulties as it was coral, and away from my natural pink!! LOL!

Here's the colours we'd like to see you using...

As we're a bit 'into' Leanne Ellis at the moment... I decided to use 'Bluebell' and to try to match the colours as best I could...
I coloured with Copics as per usual... but am not really happy with how this turned out... I did a bit of distressing and a bit of glittering to see if I would become more happy with it... but no.... I think this is not going to end up one of my 'proud of' cards - which is a shame as she's such a cute image.  I have to own up, this little lady nearly ended up in the bin with me starting again...  Ah well... we all make some cards that we're not keen on, don't we?  DON'T WE??  lol!!

Don't forget to pop over to The Sugar Bowl challenge to see the fabulous cards my lovely teamies have come up with - they are far more inspiring than mine today!! LOL

And if you click on the logo here, you can go straight to Funky Kits...  where you'll find lots of fabulous stamps to choose from!

A little romance...

Hi Girls

As yesterday was the 12 year anniversary of the first time I ever met my lovely OH..  I made this card for him... and I have to own up, I'd forgotten that the date was so close... so it had to be a quickie on the day itself!!  I honestly don't know what month it is half the time, let alone the date...

Anyway... all's well that ends well... he loved his card...  but not as much as I loved the one he got me - as he HAD remembered.

Big hugs...

For a change......

Hi Girls

Oooh out of my comfort zone or what???  But soooooo easy!!  I need to put some male cards into my stock for sending out (comes of having two brothers..)  and had bought this Memory Box Moustache die set a little while back.  Then, when I saw this Echo Park Times and Seasons digi paper this week and bought it from One Buck Wednesday... I knew the two had to go together!  It's so simple it barely needs describing...  but I did doodle to give it a frame...  then the manly sentiment was done on the PC using Adler Typewriter font... don't adjust your eyes, it's SUPPOSED to look like that!  And it really dates me... as I learned to type on an Adler!!  And that was before electric typewriters came out!

Twas easy to photograph too because there's no colouring... apart from the camera picked up tiny hairs of black card that I couldn't see.... but ah well...  a card in 10 mins... how good is that? LOL!

Have a good weekend y'all......  my OH is working all weekend, so it's going to be a quiet one here... think I may just be busy in a certain little room!  But I'll be talking to myself before he finishes..   His comment about this card was 'hmmmm not sure I'd want to receive a card like that....'  Ouch!!

Big hugs

Diecuts and Punches at In The Pink...

Hi Girls

It's time again for IN THE PINK... and our challenge theme today is 'Diecuts and Punches'... and you can use AND/OR - you don't have to use both.  Relatively easy huh?  It is until you can't decide WHICH dies or punches to use....  as you have too many!  Recognise the symptoms?? hehe!!

The challenge this time is generously sponsored by ALL DRESSED UP... who are allowing the winner to choose two digi images of their choice.... and when you look at Wendy's designs in the shop, you'll realise it's so very difficult to choose as they're ALL adorable!!  She also has designed paper too (which I've used on this card..) - such a talented lady!

Materials:
Image: All Dressed Up Party Girls (I used one of the three in the set)
Paper: All Dressed Up Pinks digi papers (only 75p!!)
Colouring: Copics
Dies: Spellbinders Floral Oval, Spellbinders plain oval, Flowers - Marianne Creatables LR0145
Gems and Glitter from Stash

Hope to see you at In The Pink where you can have a look at my fellow DT's wonderful creations.....  who doesn't love this gorgeous colour???!

It's an ALL DRESSED UP challenge AND a FABBIE BLOG HOP with prizes too!

Hi Girls

Our first All Dressed Up challenge and release of 2014 is here - I'M SO EXCITED... as what a fantastic release it is!

Both our teams have joined together for this Challenge/Release, and we are also having a blog hop !

We have four new releases this month, all of which can be found over on the store

Our theme for the the challenge is "Anything Goes". A nice and easy theme to start the new year with.

Here is my design team creation for this challenge.

I have used LITTLE BOOKWORM which you will find  here.  I fussy cut around her and layered her up 3D style... to give her depth.

The challenge will run until 15th February and the winner will receive 3 images of their choice from the store
Please make sure you stop by the blog to check out the rest of the talented Dressy Girls creations.

Now as I said earlier we are also having a blog hop for this challenge, two lucky winners will receive 2 images of their choice from the store, in order to be in with a chance of winning you have to visit every blog on the hop list and leave a comment by the date shown below. Two winners will be picked at Random by two of the Dressy Girls on Wednesday 22nd January . We know we have quite a few Dressy girls, so we have spread the hop over a week to give you all plenty of time to hop along.

If you have been following the hop list you have arrived here from Lyndsey....

Here is the hopping list so you don't get lost along the way.

Good luck on the hop and make sure you check out the blog for the winners and all the challenge details.

An easel card for a change...

Hi Girls

I'm here today with my All Dressed Up post...  and this time I decided to opt for an easel style card as I haven't done one for a while.  As she's one of my favourites, I decided to use the FREE Abi Ballerina who can be found HERE.   I coloured her with Copics and Promarkers...  then cut her with a circle nestie mounted on a scalloped nestie in darker purple.  I fixed some little gems around the image... then made the easel card.... so very easy!  Of course, she had to have a little bit of glitter... then I found some nice velvet ribbon too..  oooh and the paper was from Pink Petticoat.

The little sentiment which forms the 'stopper' I designed myself on the PC.  If you'd like to use it, I've put it below as a FREEBIE.  Right click and save.  I'd love to see what you use it for..

Just for fun - Tiddlyinks Anna Belle

Hi Ladies

Today I have a card that I haven't done for any Design Team... it's just one 'for fun'.. and don't we just enjoy doing those when there is no pressure?!

I used Anna-Belle Birthday Wishes from Tiddlyinks - she was fabulous to colour... and I didn't feel she needed a lot in the way of fancy shapes etc..  so I grabbed my 'often used' Li'l Inkers Stitched Rectangles dies, coloured her with Copics and Promarkers...  then used a MFT DieNamics Button Border die... and tied all the buttons with a bit of thread.  I added glitter (of course) and a couple of pink coloured dots from Stampin Up.  Finally, I used a Pebbles Inc rub on for the sentiment.

Hope you like..

Can I just say a very big welcome to my newest followers - good to have you taking a peek into my little bit of cyberspace...  do say hello..

Big hugs

PAPER NEST DOLLS FIRST BIRTHDAY - and some DT exciting news!!

Hi Girls

I'm so excited to tell you that I've been asked by the lovely Christine at Paper Nest Dolls to become a DT member - and it's a really exciting time - as it's their FIRST BIRTHDAY!   I did some cards a couple of years ago for Christine...  (she ordered them from me before she started Paper Nest Dolls for her to send personally).  So wowwwwww...  I was thrilled to hear from her again to ask me to become part of the team!  I've done some cards for her to display in her shop in the recent past - and was chuffed to see that she'd taken them to show at a massive exhibition she'd been to...

Anyhow....  it's challenge time at Paper Nest Dolls and this one is easy - as it's 'ANYTHING GOES'.  I chose a fabulous stamp called GIFT GIVING AVERY.  She has a lovely dotty hat and scarf.... so I chose a dotty digi paper that I'd downloaded at One Buck Wednesday a little while ago to match.  I coloured Avery with Copics and Promarkers... and of course, added glitter.  I used Nesties for the ovals.  Then all I added was a belly band done with a Stampin Up scalloped edge punch... a bit of ribbon for the bow, and a lovely rhinestone button from The Hobby House to finish.

You have until Friday 17th January to enter this challenge...  and you could win some fabulous PND images..  so why don't you head over to

to check out the details and to also see what my fellow lovely DT members have come up with to inspire you.
