Happy Christmas to all my blogging friends...
Hi Girls
I just wanted to drop by to show this card that I made for my wonderful man..... I gave it to him last night, so I can show it now. I'm one very lucky lady to have him by my side, especially this past week when I've not been too good....... he - along with my daughter Emma - have been there for me every minute when I've felt so scared. But hopefully things are on the up now (after another root canal treatment yesterday) - I am not going to tempt fate, merely say that I haven't had to take any painkillers today....
My card is using a DigiStamp Boutique image, I think it's called Cute Reindeers.. it's a lovely image.... and I've done the wording after being inspired by Kerry (Pickle) who makes such fantastic cards. The DP is from The Clipart Fairy... it's called Let it Snow. Colouring and glitter etc as always - and a touch of Glossy Accents on their hooves made them come alive. This is my first easel card.... and was so easy I couldn't believe it!
So there you go.... HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL - I'll still be around commenting... but probably no more posts. Thank you all for following me this year and for my listening to my moans and groans.... and my ups too!!
I've got lots of good friends via blogland...... and I feel so lucky!
Big Hugs

Hi Girls - just a quick update..
No card today I'm afraid.... Just to let you know that I've not been too well so not been commenting - though this morning, cos I was up at 5 am in pain, I've been having a gander through all your blogs of the last few days, and am not going to attempt to comment on all - so will say to one and all....... WHAT A TALENTED LOT you are!
I had to go back to the hospital yesterday to the opthalmologist, who have decided not to do a biopsy of an artery (at least for yet - don't want to tempt fate). They don't think it's the temporal ateritis that the GP first thought. Phewwww... but it still leaves me with the pain, and because the consultant yesterday told me to stop taking the steroids the GP had put me on, I think the pain has flared up over night. I'm still thinking it's what the dentist said last week, this myofacial pain dysfunction syndrome and am treating it with heat, massage etc.... though resting my jaw from eating at this time of year is a TAD difficult!
So there you go.... latest update on my saga!! 'Thanks for all your lovely messages and good wishes after my last post.... you can't imagine how much it helps when you're in pain to read from my lovely blogging friends.. and I hope you're all nearly ready for the big man at the weekend.......
Big Hugs

At last... I've finished (I think..)
Well at last, I've finished my Christmas cards and got them all posted! It seems like it's been a mammoth task this year, don't know why, but now they're done I can relax.
My card today uses one of the Digi Stamp Boutique's Cute Robin Collection which was nice and easy to do.... some colouring and shading, then some glittering and layering! I had to make eight of these, so they needed to be easy! Just looking at the photo now, it looks like I've got it uneven on the red glitter paper, but honest - all sides are even on the real thing! I think it's the angle the pic was taken.... at least I hope so!
To catch you up on things in Christine world (for those interested) - I've been to the dentist yet again today as I keep having pain in my mouth and terrible pains up the side of my head..... and saw a different guy today as my normal dentist was off. I've not slept properly for a few nights again now and am getting p*****d off to put it mildly! ANYWAY, the upshot is that this guy thinks I have ..... now wait for it...... myofascial pain dysfunction syndrome...... which apparently is not toothache - but mimics it as it's muscular at the top of the jaw... and i have to put heat on it, rest it (some hope as it resting means not eating!), take painkillers and massage it. It's something to do with the lactic acid in the muscle causing a lot of pain. SOOOOO I'm a bit fed up to say the least. The other thing he said was not to worry about it (soooo easy said...) as the emotional stress makes it worse! Then later today I went to the docs as I had to have a routine blood test cos my iron is low - and the nurse there told me my blood pressure had shot up........ Well, I've been in tears most of the rest of the day so now my mouth hurts HORRIBLY!
Sooo I'll just shut up now and go get my lavender bag and stick it in the microwave - then strangle myself with it!! Anyone know a good field and a guy with a shotgun??? Think I need it!! LOL
Big Hugs to you all....

Don't you just love Santa???
Hi there...
It's a bit late for me to be on the computer, but I wanted to upload this before my bedtime. It's been a windy day here in Yorkshire today, and I'll be quite happy to get all cosy and snuggly in bed and close all the nasty gusts out! I hope no one has suffered any damage....especially in Scotland!
Onto my card.... This is a lovely Sugar Nellie stamp called Old St Nick - and I may be a bit odd, but I do love colouring red! From what I read on others' blogs, I'm in the minority. Anyway, I've coloured him in using my promarkers... then obviously (!) used my glitter for his fur trimming (which isn't showing too well - photoshop has let me down...), and glossy accents for his shoes and belt, and a little bit on the bells on his brimming sack of toys. I've used a large oval nestie for the shape, and drew round it and cut for the extra red frame. I've used a sentiment from Whimsy Stamps called Holiday Ticket Sentiments, and added a red (bright red, not as photo shows sort of orange!) ribbon and bow... then a Marthat Stewart Holly punch with a few red gems for berries. The DP is from Kaisercraft from their 25 December collection.
I still have Christmas cards to make and am still enjoying making them.... think that will wear off soon though... LOL! Hope you're all doing well with your Christmas preparations - we're going to have a lovely weekend putting up the decorations and wrapping presents.... also going into Harrogate to see the lights and hopefully hear a brass band playing carols.... then I'll know it's the season proper!! LOL
Big Hugs to you all

Die Cut Dreams - Challenge #104 - Calendar
Hi Girls...
Well here we are again, time for another challenge at Die Cut Dreams..... this time the challenge is to make a calendar page for January 2012..
Now I'm not known for making things other than cards, so I did scratch my head.... but then just decided to 'have a go'!
I used one of my beautiful Gorjuss Girls, this one is called Waiting (bought from Samuel Taylors at Embsay... ), coloured her with my copics and promarkers... then cut her out and 3D'd her with foam pads onto an oval nestie (classic ovals large). I used a 'Delicate Vine' Memory Box die and some silver mirri card for the decorations.... and made my own calendar for January on the computer using an old fashioned typewriter font. All this was put onto some matching bazzil - then onto more mirri card.... well I had to make up for the lack of glitter, didn't I???
Hope you like my calendar.... Why don't you pop on over to the Die Cut Dreams Challenge Blog and check out my lovely teamies creations.... they're sure to inspire you to have a go at entering! And it's a lovely way to think about the New Year, and this time the challenge is open for four weeks so you have plenty of time to come up with a fab creation!
This challenge is Sponsored by Die cut Dreams
This week it´s Susie Sugar's turn to sponsor this challenge and the Prize is 30 sheets of 5.5" x 5.5" fancy edged designer papers.
Perfect for your 6" x 6" Tilda cards !!!
( Please Note; Colours and designs may vary slightly from the photo)

OK, so I got distracted....
Just thought you may like to see what's been distracting me.... after being inspired by Viv from Daisy-Mae Blog, I decided to make a few bookmarks for some special people... and here are a couple of them!
Those of you who know me well, know I love jewellery making also... so I decided to give it a go. Beads, findings and metal bookmarks - all from Ebay and my stash. They look fab hanging over the end of your favourite book, and they don't just look pretty... they are practical too! I feel an addiction coming on....
We're off today to meet up with Barry's daughters and their families.... including his two lovely grandsons (can't wait).... so I won't be commenting till Sunday.
Bye for now
Hugs

Getting through them a bit now...
Morning girls...
Hope it's not too windy where you are.... we've had some quite strong winds overnight, which woke me.... then a damn cat decided to wail at about 5.30 am..... dear on dear, what a noise! All in all, not a good night's sleep!
Anyway, onto my card... I've really had to get down to seriously making my Christmas ones.... and I had this image coloured from a while back, so decided to go with it. It's LOTV and it's called 'Three Angels'. NIce to colour, as there really isn't much colouring at all! Then, well, I just had to get the glitter out, didn't I...... and stickles too.. decided they needed red stars on their halos... (funky angels these are...), but it really did match the paper better! And I thought they could have just decided to have red tinsel halos instead of your norm! The paper is from my Authentique Christmas pad, ooooh and I put an embossed panel of green holly too. A couple of punched poinsettias, and a bit of Merry Christmas ribbon and it was done!
I had another of those bad migraines yesterday - not the pain, but the bad visual disturbances - flashing black/white arcs etc. Makes me shut my eyes for about 30 mins before it goes. Then I'm left with a kind of fuzzy head - which hurts like I don't know what when I cough or move quickly. I don't like them!! But I'm off out with a friend for lunch today so looking forward to that..
Happy Tuesday whatever you're up to...
Hugs

Rudolph..
Another quickie card.... (having to turn them out fast now...), this time it's just a tiny bit of matt and layering (with pearlescent card from Craftwork Cards and a bit of gold Mirri), then a Rudolph which is using a Sizzix die.... (I cut two to give him a bit of depth and put thin foam pads between), then I add a little glitter pom pom for his nose!
I have a weakness for Rudolphs.... Hmmmmmm OK, yes, it adds to my weaknesses for Santas..... and pink.... and glitter.... and fairies.... etc, etc...... Pretty weak person all in all? hehehe
Ooooooh and a very big welcome to my new followers - thank you for joining my blog.... although my little band only grows very slowly, I'm really happy to have you here and for any comments you may make - they mean so much!

Just to let you know I'm still around...
Hi Girls...
Well I am still around, just not very blog productive at the moment! I have tons to do and the days are disappearing so fast! And I can't see that I'll get in my craft room now till Wednesday... at least to have a proper play! And our own cards, then card orders to do..... My goodness, don't know what I'd do if I actually worked for a living as well! LOL!
Today's card is a card I made for my lovely OH.... it's nice every now and again to say something like this... and he appreciated it! I used my Digi Stamp Boutique image (Kissing Birds) and decoupaged the image too, embossing it to make the birds 'rounder', then did the sentiment on the PC. Very simple colouring... (needed to be to make it quick...), a bit of matt and layering (sorry can't remember the paper), and a few punched hearts...... a bit of glitter, and it was done. Hope you like!
Now.... remember the little card I did last week or so with the tiny Christmas Tree and a bit of a handwritten sentiment? Well, that's one that's created a lot of interest! And yes, people wanting to order it! Which is nice for me, cos I don't have to put a lot of time into making it.... just got to keep my handwriting in order (difficult with an arthritic thumb!!) Just shows you though, doesn't it?
Big Hugs and Happy Monday

It's time for another Die Cut Dreams challenge!
Hi Girls...
This week's challenge at Die Cut Dreams is Challenge # 103 'Thank You with lots of Circles..'
I've done a very simple card (again...!) I printed one of Lyn's FAB sentiments at Sentiments 4 You (who is very kindly sponsoring our challenge) on a square piece of linen cardstock and used a circle punch on some paper that was on my desk already... offcuts of paper and card that I'd used previously on something.... I used thin-ish 3d foam to raise the circles slightly.... then used some pink glitter flowers (MFT Die-namics flower trio die) that were again lying around on my desk left over from something, to top the plain circles. Some flat backed pearls on the flowers finished them off. I added some grosgrain ribbon from my stash and a bow.... then mounted the square onto my linen card. And there you have it..... simple.... but effective? Hope so!
And here's the prize:
Soooo do pop over to my teamies to see their creations.... it's funny how everyone can come up with something totally different for the same theme! Then have a go......
Thanks for all of your entries from the last challenge.... pop on over to the blog and see if you were a winner!

A couple of tries at arty-farty....
Hi Girls
I've been messing around today.... I saw some arty-type cards in a local gift shop the other day, and couldn't believe the prices they were selling for! £3.25 each! Sooooooooooo you know what I'm like, I thought I can be arty!! So out came my acrylic paints... and I had an interference blue - mixed all together and painted onto some watercolour paper, then sprinkled with irridescent glitter.. Ripped it out and stuck it onto a card... then used glossy accents around the edge and sprinkled with silver glitter. A quick handwritten sentiment finished it. It's not the same design as the one in the shop (wouldn't do that).... but just a similar train of thought...
Now one similar to this (think it was a gift or something cut out), was selling for another £3.25! So I thought I'd used my paddle punch sizzix tree, and write the sentiment underneath.
The gift shop is quite upmarket... but while I was there 'studying', lots of people were in and out buying cards, so it's not as if she doesn't sell...
Literally, I was messing around.... just to see what happened. Not my normal type of thing, but I had orders and a DT post to do so wanted to try something for a change. Let me know what you think....
Hope you're all well and having a lovely Sunday..
Hugs

Can you believe it? There is no fairy on this card.....
Well - it was a forced issue really.... my daughter wanted a New Home card for a friend, so no fairy :(
But it was nice to do something different... and still have just a touch of glitter about it... well I just couldn't resist... could I?
Image is Digi Stamp Boutique - coloured with promarkers and copics... computer generated sentiment, MS edge punch for band, grosgrain ribbon from stash... and daisy background paper downloaded from Pink Petticoat. Of course, a bit of bazzil, and a bit of glitter! Simples, and a nice change!
I bet you thought I'd been MIA just lately - but I've just been quite busy and although been commenting, not actually getting around to making anything! We went to see the Wizard of Oz in London on Wednesday (staight comute from York to Kings Cross - no stops).... saw the matinee, had dinner, then came home! And what a show!!!!!!!!! I was like a child in toyland.... Michael Crawford as the Wizard, and the girl who won 'Over the Rainbow' as Dorothy! The effects were magnificent, and I had to be forcibly held back from trying to make a grab for Dorothy's red glitter shoes, ooooh and Glinda the Good Witch's dress....... which was sparkly glitter from top to bottom!!!!!! JUST MY TYPE OF THING!!! But Barry and my daughter Emma held me back..... wahhhhhhhhhh!!! Ah well....
Hope you've all had a lovely weekend.... thanks for bearing with me during this L-O-N-G post!
Happy Crafting

Die Cut Dreams Challenge # 102 - Recipe .... and BLOG HOP!
Hi Girls
Monday again and that means time for another new challenge at Die Cut Dreams.
Now this fortnight is a bit special for us here at Die Cut Dreams because not only do we have our beloved Boss Lady Susie Sugar back with us after her house move, the Die Cut Dreams shop has re-opened and the Challenge blog has also surpassed 700 followers - how cool is that??
So to celebrate we are having a BLOG HOP.
You should have arrived here from the lovely Ali's blog but if not please go back to the Challenge blog and start from there.
In order to qualify for the main prize which is
A Pizza Box full of Mixed Theme & Mixed Shape Die Cut Dreams Designer Die cuts worth over £25 !!!"
you will need to stop by each of the Design Team members blogs and leave a comment on their challenge creation. As an added bonus some of the Design Team are also offering Candy on their blogs but you won't know which blogs the candy is on until after the Hop when we announce the winners.
So onto the challenge. The theme this time is: Recipe - 2 Brads, 3 Gems, 4 Flowers
And here is my card:
I've used a Nellie Snellen image called Flower - bought from Samuel Taylor at Embsay. I've coloured her with a mix of promarkers and copics... used a nestie for the shape. I've used glitter (of course), and glossy accents on her flower (3D'd to bring it to life), then I created the card base from kraft card. The DP (dotty pink) is Kaisercraft Bonjour Collection Moriesse... and the brads, flowers and gems I've used all came from my stash! Hope you like!
Remember to leave me a comment before you go just in case I have candy on my blog.
Don't forget you have several choices, you can enter the challenge, do the hop and leave a comment on each DT member's blog in which case you could win several times or you could just do the hop, it's up to you.
From here you will need to go to the very talented Karen's blog.
Have fun on the hop which lasts for the next two weeks along with the current challenge.
Winners will be announced on the Die Cut Dreams blog when we post the next challenge.
Take care girls, and happy crafting!

Away with the Fairies.......
Hi Girls
Well I really AM away with the fairies today.. I am SO excited!!! I'm being showcased today by the Sugar Nellie Blog.... Thrilled to bits doesn't go half way to what I'm feeling right now.... I can't believe I've been chosen - and because I do love their stamps so much - particularly their fairies, I feel this is a massive honour! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!
Soooo I better get on to describing my card... I've chosen Fairy Glen Charlotte from Funky Kits to colour - she's so cute with her coy little look... and I've coloured her using a mix of promarkers and copics. I've used a cool grey to give her depth around the image... then I used glossy accents to the flower and her shoes, and of COURSE, lots of glamour dust. I mean, what fairy in her right mind would be seen out without her sparkle? Not one that lives in MY house!! LOL! I used Nesties Labels 22 for the shape, with some flowers using the Spellbinders Rose Creations dies. Not sure if I like them or not. I've sponged versamagic pink around the edge of the shape. The DP is from the Gossamer 6 x 6 pack from Memory Box... and I've used my MS Cherish edge punch for the pink bazzill. And to finish, I've used some super pearl trimming which were a lovely pressie a while back from my mate Coops. Oooh and I've distressed the edges of the pale green, and added Stickles.... never too much glitter, huh? (As I'm typing, I can see glitter on my nose somewhere - so squinting to find it.... ever done that? You just KNOW it's there!! LOL)
So now I'm going to be floating on air (maybe with my fairy wings??) for the rest of the day because of this honour.... well, after I've done the housework then my half hour Wii fit.... I'm determined to get a bit fitter in the near future... Wish me luck!
Thank you for visiting my blog today, and any comments you may leave - they mean a lot!

Baby card this time...
Just a very quickie - I needed a baby card, so found this fab image from Lori Boyd Designs... called Sweet Pea Baby Addy.... So I coloured her with copics (she looks a tad jaundiced but it is the light, I promise!)... then matted her onto pink... used some stripey pink that's been in my stash since I first went to the US.... then used the trio of flowers from Die-Namics (but I only used two of them!) Oh, and there is an MS edger punch there too, with some plain satin ribbon - and a couple of gems in the centre of the flowers. So simple!
Hope you like

At last.... I managed a halloween card!
Well at long last I can hear some of you say (especially Christine and Lisa!).... don't know why, but I've never got around to doing a halloween card..... so today, I though why not???
Found this lovely digi image the other day while surfing (as you do..) and loved her (and her mate still to come..) so had to have a little go! She's is WitchyBoo Betty by Simply Betty Stamps, and I had a ball colouring and glittering her.. The DP's were from a candy win from Emma at CES (who'll be looking after her new little one now and I don't expect her to see this... but thanks Emma!) The sentiment was computer generated, and the stars from an xcut die (I made a mess of the cutting of the witch layer - so the stars had to be strategically placed!! LOL! Not much else - I used distress inks to 'wear' the edge of the DP, and a few gems from Stamping Bella a while back finished it off. Oooh and I drew the cobweb in the corner!
Soo hope you like! I've not been out today so have taken a bit of time to tidy up my stash of nesties and dies... Hmmmmm methinks I may just have enough! (Note, I didn't say too many!! hehe)
Hugs to all and Happy Crafting

Oooh I must be on a roll.....
Hi Girls... Yes, a third card from me so far this week and it's only Tuesday! Don't know what's come over me, only more time, as the garden isn't calling to loud now it's autumn!
Today's card is using the fab Sugar Nellie Pippi Longsocks - one of the fab candy stamps that I won from Elaine.... again, she was a delight to colour and I thought she cried out for pink... although it would appear most of my cards do.... as my pink pens wear out far faster than any others! LOL
I used Basig Grey Sugared Luscious DP for her as I like pink and brown together, and used Labels 4 Nestie to put her on, but drew and cut around the outer of the nestie shape to get the frame. The flowers are from an MFT Die-namics die called Flower Trio.... and I put some pearl gems from my stash in the centre of each, and of course, added my lovely glitter! Again, no sentiment..... but that's just me. I decoupaged her wings btw, so they stand out, but I don't know about you, I get really upset when I have to 'cut through' a fairy to get her wings off!!
Right..... seeing as I'm on a roll, I better go check my lottery ticket from last Saturday... who knows, I may be a millionaire!
I look forward to your comments, as always - they do make my day!

Die Cut Dreams Challenge #101 - So Charming!!!
Hi Girls
Well there were some fabulous cards entered for our 'Use a Poem' challenge, with so many different types of poems, some funny, some profound.... why don't you hop over to our challenge blog and see if you were a winner?? It was lovely to see all those cards entered, as it was my first challenge on the Design Team.
Now here we are again with another fab challenge.... this time it's 'So Charming'.... and you have to use a charm somewhere on your card. Sooooooo I chose Sketchy Snowman from Digi Stamp Boutique - just because he's been very patient waiting for me to colour him..... I also dry embossed him to make him look more round (well we can't have a FLAT snowman - can we?) I then coloured him with copic/promarkers and decoupaged him onto a square cut with a nestie and sponged with pale blue shadow ink while the nestie was still in place to give the frame, and used another scalloped square nestie for the base.
I used a Crafts Too Embossing Folder - Snowflakes (bought at Samuel Taylors when I went there a couple of weeks back), and the blue DP is from The Clipart Fairy - Let it Snow (methinks the snowman is thinking the same.... hehe). The ribbon is american seam binding, and the charm I bought at The Hobby House on my recent trip there... (hmmm I HAVE been spending recently haven't I - oooops!) and it's hanging on some eyelash wool I've had in forever! There is an MS Snowflake border punch hiding there too.. I added a couple of gems and some glitter and stickles (obviously!!), then the fab sentiment is from Lynne over at Sentiments 4 you - and as Lynne is sponsoring our challenge this time you could win a lovely gift certificate to spend in her shop Crafts-4-You!
Why don't you hop over to the Die Cut Dreams blog to my lovely teamies to see their wonderful creations - then join in! I really look forward to seeing your charming creations.. And don't forget that the Die Cut Dreams shop site will be opening up again at the beginning of November...
Big Hugs and Happy Crafting..

A little cheating...
Hi Girls
First of all I want to welcome my new followers... and yayyyy I've broken the 100! Thank you for wanting to follow my blog - it makes me happy that you've done so!
Just a very quick card this morning... and what I think is probably classed as cheating... but.... as I really had to get on making some Christmas cards that didn't take forever to colour, I decided to go for it! Sooooo I bought some of these little robins from Ebay! They may be oriental robins I think.... (from China.. hehe), but what the heck.... they look the part, if a little uppity with their beaks so far up in the air!! Well ok, I could have REALLY cheated and said I'd made the robins couldn't I? LOL!
So there you go, white linen cardstock for the card and the layers, that difficult to find sizzix holly embossing folder, and a little Christmas sentiment from a Paula Pascual set and it was done (oh and with a little tiny gem too). And eight were made in the time it would take me to do one with a coloured image!
Hope you like my CAS card!
Happy Sunday

A little Sugar Nellie cutie...
Hi Girls...
Well here's my first card done with my Sugar Nellie candy win from the lovely Elaine.... such lush stamps, I couldn't decide which to use first! LOL! But, Delia won out (closely followed by Pippi Longsocks who is now sulking on my desk....)
Of course, I coloured her with my trusty promarkers and copics... used a nestie to cut the shape (blossom 4), then used a DP from My Minds Eye - Lime Twist, which is mounted onto kraft cardstock for the base. I used an MS edge punch but can't remember the name of it... then I added a bow made from seam binding..... but again, struggled to use a sentiment.... I'm never happy with them on the front, I always feel that I un-balance the card with a sentiment.... so I left it without!
Of course, then out came the glitter and stickles..... well a fairy can't be a proper fairy unless she sparkles.... right girls?
It's a bit of a chilly day here today, strong north wind blowing... so I guess they're right when they say snow before the week's out.... don't you just hate it when winter comes? Well OK, the snuggling up in the evening is good, but I hate it when we lose the light so early on in the evening... I always was a wimp who was scared of the dark...
Happy crafting girls.... and hope you have the heating cogged up!
Hugs
